Either you are on a keto diet, or you are on a calorie-deficient diet, or you are probably on a low-carb diet, or maybe you just want to keep a regular check on your weight. Whatever the reason is, you want a highly accurate weighing scale that shows you the right weight. An honest weighing scale, as here, in Alpha Scales, we put it. The following are the checks that you need to put in place before buying a good bathroom scale for your personal use.<\/p>

1. The Bathroom Scale should be Anti-Skid.<\/h3>

Bathroom weighing scales are usually made of tempered glass, which has a very smooth surface. Slight moisture on these surfaces makes them slippery and this is a tragedy in the making. This is more dangerous for senior citizens. So always buy personal weighing scales that are anti-skid. Also, buy something that is made of bamboo or stainless steel so that it is more durable. And if you want something made of glass, make sure it has an anti-skid mat on top of it.<\/p>

2. It should carry a Warranty.<\/h3>

A warranty on a weighing scale is a MUST. Also, make sure you know from where you are buying it. Most of the companies (Including Alpha Scales<\/a>) have an online payment and delivery mechanism, and this is better than online marketplaces because you know exactly who the seller is and where the service center is. Also, keep the warranty card safe so just in case there is a problem, you have something to show.<\/p>

3. Display with a good backlight and running on a pencil cell.<\/gwmw><\/h3>

When you are standing on a weighing scale, you are almost 6 feet away from the display. Make sure that the display is brightly lit and is big enough to see from this distance. Also, the batteries make a huge difference in the type of weighing scale. If they are those button cells, that are used in the watch, then they will not support a big display or a bright LED technology. The newer scales run on AAA batteries<\/a>, that last for more than 8 months on a single charge. Take those.<\/p>

Though the design is a very important aspect when buying a new scale, I have not labeled it. Because a sleek scale just becomes a showpiece if it doesn’t work properly, or if it doesn’t satisfy one of the above parameters. Also, our experience is that sleeker models sacrifice durability. A weighing scale with a very low profile may not last you that long because the sensors for the lower profile scales don’t have enough spring action to come back to their original shape. So, such a scale will last you for a shorter duration.<\/p>
